ISC President, Allen Westerfield, Participated in I-ITC Conference

On May 11, 2008, ISC President, Allen Westerfield participated in a Panel Discussion at the International Imaging Technology Council Annual Conference. The I-ITC Conference is intended to provide a platform for toner and ink product manufacturers and raw materials suppliers to the imaging supplies remanufacturing industry. The panel discussed the growing threat of illegal products originating in China and differentiated among the various types of intellectual property violations. Particular attention the use of newly manufactured “clone” cartridges” being offered as remanufactured cartridges or empty OEM cartridges. Mr. Westerfield discussed the ways in which the Imaging Supplies Council and the I-ITC could work together to eliminate this problem.

The Imaging Supplies Coalition for International Intellectual Property Protection, Inc. is a non-profit association of imaging supplies Original Equipment Manufacturers. Coalition members are Brother International Corporation, Canon U.S.A., Inc, Epson America Inc., Lexmark International, Inc., Oki Data Corporation, Corporation., Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc., and Xerox Corporation.
