Miami Beach, Florida The Imaging Supplies Coalition for International
Intellectual Property Protection (ISC) awarded The U.S. Department of
Homeland Security, Border & Transportation Directorate, Port of
Miami a significant contribution award for their efforts in
intercepting counterfeit imaging supplies being shipped into the US
through Miami.
The ISC has a long history of working with Customs and Border
Protection in identifying and seizing counterfeit products headed for
the US and Latin American markets.
The award was accepted by Mrs. Constance Price, Assistant Port
Director, on behalf of all of the Customs people from various functions
that work with the ISC and its members.
The Port of Miami has been averaging 3 seizures of counterfeit imaging
supplies per month for the last six months for ISC members.
“ I want to thank all of the people involved, from the Interim Port
Director, Jeffrey Baldwin and Mrs. Price to the Supervisors, the Import
Specialists and the Customs Inspectors for what they do every day in
protecting the US, its Brand owners and citizens from these illegal
products. This is a great example of cooperation between the Government
and Industry in fighting a foreign threat to US business and consumers”
said ISC President & CEO, Bill Duffy in presenting the award.
