January 29, 2009 ISC President, Allen Westerfield, delivers speech at the Lyra Imaging Symposium
On January 29, 2009, ISC President, Allen Westerfield, delivered a speech at the Lyra Imaging Symposium in Rancho Mirage, CA.
The Lyra Imaging Symposium was sponsored by Lyra Research Incorporated. The overriding goal of the forum was to provide a platform discussing collaboration and change in the Imaging Industry. The symposium was attended by 150 participants representing 50 companies from Asia, North America and Europe.
Mr. Westerfield’s paper titled, “The Counterfeiting Problem“, discussed the scope of the counterfeiting criminal activity and how all parties involved were harmed. He also presented a call to action for all participants in the economic supply chain urging zero tolerance for counterfeit goods of any type from any source.
The Imaging Supplies Coalition for International Intellectual Property Protection, Inc. is a non-profit association of imaging supplies Original Equipment Manufacturers. Coalition members are Brother International Corporation, Canon U.S.A., Inc, Epson America Inc., Lexmark International, Inc., Oki Data Corporation, Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc., and Xerox Corporation.
